The Will of Allah T-Shirt brings together the Moorish greeting “Islam,” the raised-hand symbol, and the Seven in a design centered on spiritual duty. Within the Moorish teaching expressed here, a Moslem actively works the will of Allah through the uplifting of fallen humanity. The design connects faith, recognition, service, and one of the most familiar symbols in Moorish American culture.

Living the Will of Allah
The Will of Allah T-Shirt presents a distinctly Moorish understanding of faith as something that must be lived and practiced. Within the teaching represented by this design, Moslem describes one who actively works the will of Allah through the uplifting of fallen humanity. This distinguishes the idea being expressed here from devotion understood primarily through submission, prayer, and ritual.
The raised hand is adapted from the Abhaya mudra and reflects the greeting traditionally exchanged when Moors meet one another: “Islam.” Here, the hand becomes a symbol of recognition between Moors and a reminder of the conduct expected to accompany that recognition.
At the center of the palm is the Seven, a prominent symbol within Moorish American culture. Its meaning reaches into the biblical image of the broken seventh seal as well as the deeper significance attached to the number seven through the Abrahamic Creation Story and related esoteric teachings.
Together, the words, hand, and Seven turn the shirt into more than a graphic. It is a statement about what it means to live according to the will of Allah and to make that will visible through one’s work among humanity.
