What the Symbols Reveal

Inspired in part by a historic medallion distributed through Lauterer Masonic Supply, this design revisits familiar Shriner and Moorish symbolic language through a distinctly Moorish American lens. The original piece featured a Red 7 on one side and a five-pointed star beneath the so-called Sword of Justice on the reverse. Within Moorish and Shriner symbolic interpretation, that severed star has long been understood by some as representing the cutting off of the Moorish woman, and by extension the nation, from fertility, legacy, and birthright.

The Califa Media medallion restores that missing continuity through the Crescent & Star. Rather than depicting separation, this symbol was chosen to represent continuity, fertility, remembrance, and the preservation of national inheritance for future generations. Designed as both a conversation piece and a visible declaration of identity, this medallion reflects a commitment to uplifting fallen humanity through knowledge of self, family, and nation.
