More Than a Name

This design was inspired by two parts of the Clowns’ story. Their co-ed legacy reflects the Moorish American principle that ability is not determined by gender. The name also recalls ancient Egyptian traditions in which extraordinary performers, acrobats, and animal handlers were associated with sacred ceremony and abilities that appeared almost otherworldly.

The result is a shirt that connects baseball history with a much older cultural meaning behind the clown: skill, strength, performance, and wonder.
